ENTANGLED #2

ENTANGLED #2 is a cross-aesthetic performance exploring the hidden world of fungi and the intricate networks that connect all living beings. Inspired by fungal communication, life cycles, and mycelial networks, the performance brings together choreography, sound, scent, and organic materials to create a multisensory encounter with a world that largely remains beyond human perception. It explores how we might relearn to pay attention to the unseen, unfamiliar, and often overlooked forms of life that surround and sustain us.

The performance unfolds within a landscape of one tonne of soil, inhabited by mycelial and ceramic sculptures, with the audience seated around it as the choreography emerges from within and across the piles. The view is continuously fragmented, revealing only parts of the landscape and performance at a time. This shifting perspective encourages a different kind of attention; one that searches, senses, and notices what might otherwise remain hidden. ENTANGLED #2 becomes a journey into the unexpected, where darkness, slowness, scent, movement, and sound open a space for curiosity and a deeper recognition of our multispecies interconnectedness.
